Yamaha Motor Celebrates International Women's Day 2024

#inspreinclusion

Yamaha Motor Australia extends warm wishes to all women for International Women's Day. Celebrated annually on 8 March, International Women's Day serves as a global platform to acknowledge the diverse achievements of women across social, business, cultural, sporting, and political spheres.

While every day should be taken as an opportunity to honour and celebrate the women in our lives, both personally and professionally, International Women’s Day holds a special significance in collectively recognising their contributions.

For Yamaha Motor Australia, this day is an occasion to applaud the success and impact of women integral to the Yamaha brand. This encompasses members of management and staff, Yamaha racers and ambassadors, and female customers who embrace our products and the Kando they deliver

As we mark International Women's Day, Yamaha Motor salutes the inspiration and guidance provided by women, and reiterates its commitment to fostering inclusivity and empowerment within our company.

Reflecting on International Women’s Day, Yamaha Motor Australia Group Managing Director, Mr Darryl Lovegrove, highlighted the valuable contribution made by female Yamaha staff to the continued success of the brand.

"As part of our ongoing commitment to promoting gender equality within Yamaha Motor, we would like to express our deep appreciation for the invaluable contributions made by women to our global success, as leaders, employees, and brand representatives," he emphasised. "As we celebrate International Women's Day, we take this opportunity to express our gratitude to all women for their unwavering dedication, inspiration and support. Your efforts are truly appreciated."

To mark International Women’s Day 2024, Darryl Lovegrove met with a group of Yamaha employees to discuss the opportunities, challenges, and paths to success for women within the YMA Group, and how Yamaha Motor can support female employees in achieving their professional aspirations.

Yamaha Motor offices around Australia and across New Zealand submitted photographs of the women who are building a pathway for future generations. We hope you enjoy these images, and we wish you all a wonderful International Women's Day and look forward to continuing the Yamaha journey with you.
